The Travels of Johnny Thunder

Hello, Johnny Thunder here. Welcome to my travel journal. You may have seen me and my friends in some of our other adventures. From Egypt to Asia; from the Lost World to the Amazon; we've been everywhere. Now, however, I would like to extend an invitation to join me on a tour through the real world. Check back here for pictures from my latest travels... -JT

Sequoias and Kings Canyon

G'day from Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.

High in the Sierra Nevada mountains, grow the largest trees in the world. In the picture above, you can see the General Sherman, the largest tree, by volume of wood, in the world. Also located in Sequoia National Park, is Crystal Cave, a cave formed in the marble of the mountains, and lush alpine meadows.

Kings Canyon National Park is home to, of course, Kings Canyon, with steep walls of sheer granite plunging down to river crossed meadows.

The park is also home to numerous wild animals, including: coyotes and marmots, as well as bear.

Until next time, happy travels!
-JT
