Lassen Volcano

 In the summer of 2011, the family and I made a trip to the remote north eastern part of California to explore the volcanic peaks of Lassen National Park, which last erupted in the early decades of the 20th century.

Snow kept us from seeing many of the thermal features, but the bubbling mud pots of the sulphur works put on quite a show.
