Lake Tahoe
Jewel of the Sierras.
That's what Mark Twain called Lake Tahoe in 1861. And after working my way, on snowshoes, to the top of a ridge overlooking the second deepest the lake in the United States, I have to agree. You can even see my tracks in the snow.
About halfway up the ridge is a great spot to stop and feed the birds. And, I even took time to build a snowman.
That's all for now, I've got to go dry off my snowshoes, so they don't rust.
Happy Travels!
